Hey all,
I think everybody knows the story of Joe but if not....... He was in a very serious car accident that left him confined to a wheelchair. One of the biggest obstacles Joe and Mary face is mobility. They need a wheelchair accessible van.......
As one would think for any couple in this situation, money is tight. Medical bills, house payments, the uncertainty of employment, the list goes on and on. The last I talked to Joe he was so excited that he was getting some movement back in one of his hands. That would be a major accomplishment..... just to be able to use a computer, a phone.... It really put things in perspective for me. Lets not take for granted the gifts that God allows us to have and lets dig deep and sacrifice a little to get our friend a good ride..... and take a big obstacle out of his and Mary's life.....
Joe and I think he should be able to get a decent set up for around 6k. We'll start the fund with $1500.00 and I don't see it being a problem to raise the $4500.00 balance. The fund will be set up at West Coast Bank. Starting Wednesday August 1st. you can walk into West Coast Bank and tell them you want to donate to the "Joe Chamberlain Fund" and all branches will be online.
You can also mail checks made out to Joe Chamberlain to
